The cultivation of passifloras, especially purple passion fruit or gulupa, generates 4,284 direct jobs (family labor), in 837 Ha belonging to members of Avance Pasifloras.
Specialized production areas have an average of 12 direct workers per hectare/week. Harvest work is carried out mainly by women, which is why the involvement of rural women in the production of gulupa is approximately 50%.
